This is a small integral bowl and base turned out of a Black Cherry burl. It would be ideal for jewelry, trinkets, loose change etc.The shape of the burl as it grew on the trunk is easy to see. The base measures about 6" x 9" and it is about 3/4" thick. There is a small depression around the bowl itself to keep small items from rolling off. The bowl is 3-3/4" on the outside and has an inner diameter of 2-1/2". The bowl is about 1-5/8" deep. It has gorgeous grain and borer holes throughout and has been sealed with two coats of oil based polyurethane.
