This is a hand turned Black Cherry burl egg. The egg is about the size of a large duck egg, slightly bigger than a jumbo store-bought. It is a little squat and heavy. The burl was from a dead limb and the colors are spectacular. This egg is very hard and one side has some small bark inclusions or hollows. It has been finished with a butcher block conditioner by Howard . It is readily available, food grade and it can be reapplied when needed. The other eggs are not included nor is the ring used to prop the egg upright in the photos.
