This is an unfinished walking stick or cane that is suitable for wood burning or carving as you wish. It is an unique piece of Balsam Fir that was harvested early 2019 in the Adirondacks. It has only been peeled withe a drawknife to dry. It is currently 56" long and weighs just over one pound. It varies from 7/8" to 1-1/4" in diameter. This unique shape is caused when the leader, or main trunk, is nipped off when it was very young. One of the branches takes over an becomes the leader, hence the shape. Very lightweight and stiff, an excellent walking stick for average individuals.
