This is a deeply convoluted Black Cherry burl bowl with bark inclusions and live edges. It is extremely heavy and measures 6-5/8" tall,8-13/16" diameter and 5-5/16" deep inside. The base is 4" in diameter. The walls are thick due to the deep convolutions but the bowl is deep to compensate. This burl grew around the trunk which is evident by the annual growth rings in the bottom. It is actually half the height of the original burl. The other half is listed as well. It is finished with two coats of oil based polyurethane.
