Her is a cool, crooked birch root staff with nubs and balls. It stands 71" tall and it weighs 2#10ozs. The shaft on this one ranges in diameter from 1-1/8" up to 2". This one had a bunch of root nodes with tight bark, hence they were shaved off with the drawknife along with the rest of the bark. You can see where each "node" was because there is a circle of bark around it. This one does have a root mass that creates a small cradle that might be perfect for a crystal or similar artifact. This is a raw material covered with subtle facets from stripping the bark with a blade, nothing else has been done to it. (ufws396)
