This is a birch root staff that was a doomed, leaning sapling. Hence it has roots missing on one side where there was no need for support. It stands 70-1/2" tall and weighs 3#8ozs. The shaft on this one varies in diameter from 1-3/8" up to 2". This is a supply or raw material for your imagination. It was harvested and the bark was stripped with a drawknife, hence there are glorious flats and digs from the blade.(ufws392)
