This listing is for a Birch root staff that stands 71" tall. The shaft on this one is curved in two directions and it varies in diameter from 1-1/4" up to 1-3/4". It has a neat root wrapped on another, and currently it weighs 3#2ozs. Like most of my other staff listings, this is a raw material for you to start with. It was harvested and the bark was stripped with a drawknife to facilitate drying. Birch bark is watertight and if you leave it on the wood will rot internally from the moisture content. Because it was stripped with a drawknife it has the hand hewn look that gives it character from the start. (ufws384)
