Here is a simple, elegant Balsam Fir root staff. The shaft on this one is relatively straight and overall it stands 71-1/2" tall. Currently it weighs 3#4ozs. This is a raw material that was only dug up and the bark was stripped with a drawknife to facilitate drying. The rest is up to you. The shaft of this one varies in diameter from 1-3/8" up to 2", and the entire staff has the hand-hewn look from the drawknife .(ufws381)
