This one is cool. It displays the tenacity of a sapling for survival. This is a somewhat shorter maple staff that was heavily rubbed by a whitetail buck. Oftentimes if it was chewed by a mammal yo can see some tooth marks. This one was rubbed so hard it was nearly girdled and killed, but one small band of bark was left to feed the rest of the sapling. It stands 66" tall and the staff is small in diameter, ranging from only an inch to an inch and a half. It might be suitable to hang a small lantern, that's up to you. It was dug up and the rest of the bark was stripped with a drawknife, hence it's a raw material. (ufws371)
