Here is another unique birch root staff. It stands a half inch shy of 6 feet and weighs 3#4ozs. Like most of my other listings this is a raw material. It was harvested and the bark was stripped with a drawknife, hence it is covered with subtle facets and tooling marks. This birch would have been a "double stem" tree but the other stem rotted off years ago. It also had a branch that rotted off, probably from too much competition and shade. There is a lump of what I call root nodes, which birches seem to grow in tough rocky conditions in preparation to send out more roots. The shaft on this one ranges from 1-3/8" in diameter up to 1-3/4". It is ready to be customized by you as you see fit.(ufws352)
