This is a cool Birch specimen with a truncated double stem and root nodes. It stands 70-3/4" tall and it is relatively smaller and lighter in dimensions than some. The shaft varies in diameter from 1" up to 1-1/2". The bark on this one was stripped with a drawknife so it has subtle facets and tooling marks throughout. The root array is nicely weighted and the lumps of root balls have sharp little root nodes where the sapling would have sent out more roots. This one weighs about 3#4ozs and will ship in my typical 8" x 8" x 72" box. (ufws347)
