Here is a heavy maple staff that stands just shy of 70" tall. The entire length has a slow curve and the root mass is a little more two dimensional than others. That said it still requires a 72" x 8" x 8" box for shipping. The diameter of the shaft on this one ranges from 1-1/4" up to about 2". It is heavy currently, 4#3ozs, somewhat due to it being relatively fresh and somewhat due to the density of the wood specie. The shaft has a little gash on it where it was skinned and healed around. It was harvested and the bark was removed with a drawknife, hence the scalloped appearance. Nothing else has been done to it, it is a raw material waiting to be customized. On all of these staffs if you order two I can refund the shipping on one and fit them in a single box. (ufws321)
