This is a somewhat two dimensional birch staff with an empty internal void where a second stem rotted off. It has a cool appearance...maybe somewhat deer-like? It stands 71" tall and the shaft goes from 1-1/8" in diameter up to about 1-1/2". It weighs 2#11ozs. It was dug up by hand and the bark was stripped with a drawknife, hence it is full of tooling marks, subtle facets and streaks of cambium. Nothing else has been done to it, hence it is a raw material that you can do whatever you want to customize it. (ufws315)
