Here is a 5' tall, really crooked Black Cherry staff. The crooked shaft varies in diameter from 1" to 1-3/4". It is full of drying splits, aka "heart splits or checks" as cherry often develop. They are simply splits from the pith out a radial line, not all the way through. It was dug, the bark was stripped with a drawknife and it was air dried. It weighs 2#3ozs and this one has been rough sanded . This is a raw material for your vision.(ufws312)
