Here is an extra large, full bodied Maple staff with a lot of cool elements. It is extra large, hence it has to ship in a 72" x 9" x 9" box so the postage is high. I could easily fit one or two more in the same box for the same postage in case you have friends who'll go in with you. This staff stands a half inch shy of 6 feet, and the shaft is 1-5/16" on the bottom and about 2-1/4" in diameter on top. The shaft has a cool, hollowed out and healed 16" long gash. It also sports some sharp root nodes that look like warts. The head is really special. It has a pinky-sized through-hole where the root from and adjoining tree passed through. The inside spread on the roots is about 7" and it creates a nice cradle for possibly mounting a large artifact. It weighs just about five pounds at present. This is a raw material...It was dug and the bark was peeled without leaving any tooling marks. The roots, however, were truncated with a drawknife. It is ready to be customized! (ufws290)
