Here is a heavy Red Maple root staff. Currently it weighs nearly five pounds, but it is fresh and thick so it'll lose weight as it dries. It has a nice curved-back root mass that is a little more two dimensional than many I have listed. It has cool "muscular" ripples that are visible because the bark was wet enough to remove with only a hawk blade knife that left few tooling marks, but just primarily some discoloration that'll sand off. This root mass doesn't form a real cradle, but it does have a small root that would hold a 4" sphere as represented by the dog ball (not included lol). It stands 71" tall and the crooked shaft ranges in diameter from 1-1/2" up through 2-1/2". This is a raw material ready to be customized for the next event. (ufws284)
