Large wizard staff

$80.00

This is what a Balsam Fir root mass looks like when it grows in moist humus. The bottom roots on the tree started to die off, probably from being too wet, and hence the discoloration. There is a cool squiggly root as well...it's amazing how different root structures can be. The staff stands 71" tall and ranges in diameter from 1-1/8" up to 1-3/4". The bark peeled off smoothly on this one leaving no tooling marks, just little pin knots. Like any wood "round" it is developing a few slight "heart checks" (splits) as it dries and the tension is released. At present it weighs 2#6ozs. This is a raw material ready for you to customize.(ufws282)
