Unfinished cane

$50.00

When is a cane not a cane? Here is a cool balance aid. Sometimes people see canes as a stigma and refuse to use them when needed. Maybe if it doesn't look like a cane they would be more apt to carry them. This is a red maple specimen with a simple root mass. It definitely feels better in the right hand. The heavy rounded root seats nicely in your palm while your fingers straddle and grip the other roots. As is it stand 38" tall and the palm rest is at 36"; it can obviously be cut shorter. It weighs under a pound and it has been roughly sanded. The shaft is a nice robust diameter that ranges from an inch up to an inch and a half. While it looks easy to find it isn't because roots are rarely nicely spaced and appropriate for a grip. No rubber tip or finish is included. (uc37)
