Here is a thinner diameter Red Maple staff with a chunky angled root. It might be a good candidate to mount a small animal skull or other such artifact. It stands a half inch shy of six feet and the shaft ranges from 7/8" in diameter up to 1-1/2". Currently it weighs 2#12ozs. It was harvested and the bark was stripped with a drawknife, hence it has subtle facets and some cambium left behind. It will barely fit in my standard 8" x 8" x 72" box. Btw for any of my staffs I can fit two if not three in a single box and ship for the single staff postage (and refund the shipping on the others). This is a raw material (ufws271)
