This is a rare one for me, a nice apple wood cane. It is made from a nice right-angle branch that was taken while renovating a large overgrown apple tree. The grip/shaft intersection developed some "heart checks" (splits from the center out) during the rapid drying process that I filled with epoxy to make it smooth on the palm. The shaft is not straight but the weight transfer path works well. It stands 38" tall and it ranges in diameter from 7/8" up to 1-1/4". It has been sealed with three applications of polyurethane and weighs 1#7oz with the included rubber tip. (fc35)
