This is a knock-down staff created primarily to reduce shipping costs. When assembled it stands a half inch shy of six feet. The species is Poplar and the shaft measures 1-1/2" in diameter at the bottom and 2-1/2" in diameter below the root mass. It has one insect wound that would have killed the sapling. It was air dried and stained with streaks of gray tones and brown, and then top coated with two coats of clear urethane. It weighs 3#12ozs and it will ship in an 8"x8"x41"box.(ufws132)
