A while ago I was asked if I had anything taller than a six-foot staff. Shipping is a problem. Here is a 7' tall Balsam Fir staff with a connector joint between (about) 54" and 60" up. Therefore, it can ship in an 8"x8"x60" box. The metal connector barrels and machine screws are included for the joint. You can either assemble it dry or make it permanent with wood glue or epoxy. I placed the joint high so you could potentially conceal it with a grip of some sort wrapped on the shaft. This staff has a long drying split (a "heart check") that starts at the pith and runs to the outside. This is typical tree "rounds" as they dry and shrink the tension is released to form a long split. Overall the staff weighs 3#3ozs. and it varies in diameter from 1-1/4" to 1-3/4". Like the other unfinished staffs it was dug out, the bark was stripped with a drawknife and it was put up to air dry. It is a raw material. (ufws256)
