Here is a straight hardwood cane blank, looks to be birch. It stands 35-3/8" tall and varies in diameter from an inch to an inch and a half. It was stripped with a drawknife so it has subtle facets to give it a hand hewn look. The tension in these natural curves is high. On this one you can see the pith tried to separate at the end of the grip hence some glue or resin might be needed to stabilize it and smooth it out. This blank had a slow curve so I roughly reduced it some under the grip to make it closer to a right angle.(uc22)
