Here is a finished, naturally curved Balsam Fir cane. It stands almost 38" tall on the included rubber tip. Most of the length varies in diameter from 1" to 1-1/4", although the grip is oblong up to 1-3/4" tall. There is a healed scar on one side of the bend that is darker, it probably occurred when the fingerling was damaged and bent. During the drying process the tension opened up a split in the handle that was filled with epoxy before two coats of a clear polyurethane were applied. At it's present length it weighs just shy of a pound. (FC38)
