**LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY** Here is an authentic Adirondack spalted Maple burl table with a Black Cherry tree-top base. The spalted burl measures about 22" wide by 42" long and 2-1/2" thick. It has through-holes and a live edge, all of which has been sealed with an epoxy finish. The base was originally stripped with a drawknife and seasoned until dry. It was then lightly sanded and sealed with two coats of polyurethane. It is mottled with a mix of intact cambium, atmospheric dirt from being initially wet and sticky, as well as sanded highlights and a few hand-hewn marks. Together the table stands 32" tall. The two pieces are secured together by a robust chunk of 3/8" x 6" x 12" mild steel, fully mortised into the top to conceal it. You will need a 1/2" wrench to fasten the top to the base with the two provided 5/16" lag bolts. The spread on the legs provides good stability, and the weight of about 87 pounds adds to that feeling. **NOTE: this is for LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY in Saranac Lake, NY. Real freight charges would have to be calculated. The props in the one pic (binoculars, bowl and map) are not included : )
