natural cane carving blank

Here is a good meaty white birch carving blank. It is too big to use with the current dimensions, hence at least the grip has to be reduced. It is the bottom of a sapling, the curve was above ground and the nub on the front was a root going down, It stands 38" tall and weighs currently 2#1oz(on3/23/22) and it was harvested and stripped with a drawknife the previous day. The shaft is 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" and the grip is about 2" through 2-1/4" in diameter. A little stringy to carve bot there are no knots on the grip.(cb2)
