Here is another extra large Balsam Fir staff. It still stands 71-1/2" tall but the roots are a little larger in diameter and require a 9" square box, which puts it at the usps priority limit. It has some cool root structure. The squiggly one is has an odd Dr. Seuss appeal for me. Rhete is also an abnormal root spur that goes a few directions. The shaft on this one varies from 1-1/8" up to 1-3/4" in diameter, and the roots account for about 10" of the height. It was harvested a few days ago and stripped and weighed today(9/16/21) at four pounds even. This one is also wet and heavy from being so fresh, hence it shouldn't be sealed until is dries out more. These Balsam staffs become incredibly light in weight.(ufws151)
