This is a lighter dimensioned Birch staff. The staff stands 70-1/2" tall and it starts at a small 1" diameter and increases to 1-3/4". This sapling had a low branch that turned into a simple tooth with a few puls of the drawknife. This root mass has two finer roots that change direction dramatically fora neat look. It was harvested, stripped, dried and weighs 2#13.8oz. (ufws143)
