This is an unfinished spruce staff every bit as graceful as a balsam fir. It has a really thick tap root that rises about 11", and the whole root mass takes up about 15" in length of the 8" square box. Overall it stands 71" tall and the shaft ranges from 1-1/2" to 2-3/8" in diameter. It was harvested and stripped on 10/4/21 and two days later it weighs 5# 4ozs. Like fir this staff will lose a lot of water weight and feel unrealistically light when it's fully seasoned. Like the others you should postpone sealing it until such time.
