An odd Tamarack...one of my favorite species...a deciduous conifer. This one has a sharp curve and heavy swept back roots along with the wispy one on top. It stands 71" tall and the staff ranges from 1-3/8" to 2" (plus) in diameter. It was harvested and stripped on 8/15/21 and ten days later it weighs 4# 12ozs. This one has some beef to it so it'll lose a lot more moisture content before it is ready to seal. (ufws126)
