This is a large, totally finished kinky Black Cherry staff with an exceptionally brilliant 122mm rainbow moonstone sphere. This is not for the faint of heart, it is big and bold. The rainbow moonstone is exceptional in depth and color. The stone alone was $262.00 USD my cost. It was provided by others, namely by https://www.theawrockshop.ca as a special order. On my scale it weighs 5# 14 ozs, and 122mm means 4.8 inches in diameter. It is mounted to the staff with a 12 gauge copper wire harness that has been twisted, looped and soldered at intersections. It is fastened with three wood screws and wrapped around two roots on one end. The entire staff weighs 11# 4ozs. and stands 71-1/2" tall. The kinky Cherry shaft ranges from 1-1/4" to 2-1/4" in diameter, and it has two little charred claws along with the base. The open wrap of the roots enables you to see much of the sphere, and the one beam is reminiscent of an antler. The roots roughly take up an 8" square area. Two of the roots cross each other, and this intersection is wrapped with copper to make sure it never parts.
