This is another nice example of a Balsam Fir staff with great curves. It stand 71-1/4" tall and the shaft ranges from 1-1/8" to 2" (plus) in diameter. There is a little offset towards the bottom and a sweeping curve before the roots. The roots take up a volume of about 8" cubed. It was harvested and stripped on 8/5/21 and a week later it weighs 3# 3ozs. It'll lose more weight as it "seasons" and being a softwood it won't take too long. Do with it as you may, it would stain or woodburn well, just don't seal it until it is fully dry.(ufws112)
