Here is a lightweight, 69" tall Balsam Fir staff. This one is pretty dry and after only a month or so it weighs a mere 1# 13ozs. It might lose another ounce or two but that's about it. It has nice character, a kink in the shaft about where you would grasp it and an array of smaller roots. The roots take up a space of about 7" by 9" by 7" high There is one shallow divot about the size of a marble where one rotted root pulled out. This is a raw, untouched material. The bark was stripped with a drawknife so there are subtle facets. It also has sharp little pin knots on it that definitely have to be sanded off. Finish it as you may. (ufws107)
