Adirondack burl bowl

$129.00

Live edge Yellow Birch burl bowl suitable for a centerpiece or a bowl holder for dips or cheese. It is riddled with borer holes and a few carpenter ant holes. The outside of the bowl is left as it appeared when the bark was stripped except for one small edge is turned to fit the swing on the lathe. It measures roughly 13" long and ranges from 8-1/2" to 13" in width. The top is slightly concave like a dish and the bowl itself measures 6" in diameter at the rim and 2-1/4" deep. It is shown with a small stainless steel bowl (not included) just as a sample. It fits a typical Corelle soup bowl but a custom pottery bowl would look best. The bowl alone weighs 4 pounds 13 ounces. It is finished with two coats of an oil based polyurethane.
